About Us

We are John & Barbara Wadsworth. In England, myself and Barbara were subscribers to the Secret Source Syndicate, a tipping information service and in the USA, we were part of Virtual Owners Partnership (VOP), a horse racing syndicate based in Chicago, for a couple of years. In addition to running Horse Racing Around the World, a business which takes people on horse racing experiences of a lifetime to major world horse races, we are currently members of TOBA, FTBOA and also own part shares in racehorses running in Florida with Trans Atlantic Stables. Ultimately we would like to meet and develop friendships with people who want to visit and experience all the great racing events in the World and people who would like to own racehorses and create partnerships to buy and race great racehorses around the World in some of the big horse races featured here. If you dare to dream and share our passion for these lofty goals, we would love to hear from you.

Growing up in England and Ireland, we have always been surrounded by the great horse racing traditions and the beauty and elegance of thoroughbred turf racing. Both the Derbies and the Grand National Steeplechases are major national events to which the whole country focuses every year. In England, even housewives and children will have a small wager on their horse of fancy at either race or both.

As I got older and started to develop a real interest in handicapping and horse racing ownership it was only natural that my roots should direct my thinking somewhat. Similarly Barb was born and raised in Ireland where the only thing to get between man and their horses is a pint of Guiness!! She is an avid horse watcher and lover of all things equine.

In 1994, we moved to Chicago and were soon under the huge international influence of Richard L. Duchossois, his Arlington International Racetrack and the dynamo for International Horse Racing, the Arlington Million. With the Breeders Cup well established in the USA at that time and with the introduction of the mighty Dubai World Cup in 1996, a well defined trend towards global horse racing was forming which culminated in 1999 with the birth of the World Series of Horse Racing. Finally a large number of the World's great horse races were together under one roof.

During 2001, we moved to Brunswick, Georgia where we still live today. In 2004 we created this website and during 2005 started selling Horse Racing Tours

With this site , we have attempted to go one step further and link all the truly great horse racing events in the World together on one site. Currently we are offering trips to 15 of these major events.
