Horse Racing Around the World in Action!

As we have stated frequently, HRAW wants to participate vigorously in the sport of Thoroughbred racing. We are not a huge company at present and so we have to pick our spots.

Our local track is Tampa Bay Downs and so we made our first steps into race sponsorship here with the wonderful people based at this track. We ran a featured advertisement in the program throughout the 2006 season and were featured prominently on the Electronic Board during the day. In addition we sponsored our first race during Sam F. Davis Stakes Day (February 18th). We had a wonderful time at the track and were delighted to land 2 large exotics during the day including one on our sponsored race!. During 2007, we repeated our race sponsorship at Tampa.

During 2006 we joined forces with TVG to sponsor their Racing Around the World Sweepstakes. We  provided the prizes for this competition which includes 3 x trips for 2 to each of the Epsom Derby, 'Arc de Triomphe and Del Mar events. We are delighted to play our part in opening up the excitement of World Racing to the US Market.

We linked up with Belmont Child Care Association during 2006 also to provide a prize for their August fund raiser. BCCA do great work to look after the children of the backstretch workers at Belmont. Without such help, it is extremely difficult for people to work in and support the horse racing industry and we felt it was important to show our support. Our trip to Dubai sold for $18,000 at the auction!! Now in 2007, we will be donating a trip once again.

As we move forward, we will be looking for more opportunities to sponsor and get involved in the world of racing. We are active members of FTBOA in Florida and also in TOBA itself. Both organizations are full of great people who help make this game what it is. We hope to strengthen our relationship with the GTOBA group in Georgia also as we too have a great interest in steeplechase racing.
