International Flat Racing

Many of the other great flat races in the World are carried out by the best 3 year olds each year – most of the Derby’s fall into this category. However, any web site discussing great International horse racing could not ignore these races. The US Triple Crown Races fall into this category as do the English, Irish and French Derby’s and the Melbourne Cup.

The Dubai World Cupstands alone as the outstanding world racing event. This event was originally part of the World Series but has now moved out to bask in it’s own spotlight. It would be wrong to avoid mention of what is both the richest race and richest meeting of the year.

Finally, Royal Ascot arguable holds the greatest horse racing meeting in the World in terms of tradition, pageantry and style.
